The wall was hard and unforgiving, and the floor even more so. Both knocked the breath out of her, and her skull hit the latter with a sickening thud. For a moment, she lay, her arms futilely trying the push herself up, her eyes filling with painful tears. Something warm and wet soaked into her hair, dampened the side of her face.
She had to move. She could see Sylar's feet blurred in her vision, and she whimpered in pain, registering his words too slowly.
