"I wouldn't offer if I didn't mean it, but I can always take it back if you'd like." He commented with a cheeky grin. He was in a good mood. Things were looking up. He just had to plan how to get to that Adam person--God, the idea of that power made him practically giddy--and then he had no other reason to stay in this place.
"But you can't get in my way. We'll be on the road most of the time, it's not like we're going to settle down someplace or something. But you've proven to me that you can hold you own...and with some of the more powerful people I might come against, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have backup."
It was true, he didn't like taking partners. It was much...easier being on his own, and yet he didn't have desire to retract the offer. He couldn't quite understand it himself.
