"Huh?" she gasped out in surprise. Take Adam's powers? Take anyone's powers? She felt the icky membrane of Adam's brains under her fingertips and looked at Sylar in alarm--would it work? Never dying and regenerating would be pretty cool; she wouldn't deny that, and she was amazed he even wanted to share it with her.
She wanted it to work. For some reason, if it didn't, she was afraid Sylar would think less of her. She would certainly feel less about herself.
She tore her eyes from his and closed them, trying to concentrate, her fingers nimbly pressing into the blood-soaked brain matter. She waited for it, for that shudder of delight, but it never came.
"It's not working," she hissed out through clenched teeth, and shot her eyes open when Adam laughed quietly. She snapped, shocking his exposed brains and feeling a little invigorated as it sizzled before healing and Adam jerked on a hoarse scream. "We don't have to give you your scalp back, you know," she spat at him.
