In the long run, he almost didn't care. After all, he rather liked who he was now. Powerful, special in a way he probably never could have been as Gabriel. But he couldn't help taunting his prey, and that had seemed to be the best route to get to Eden. He remembered seeing her around Chandra's alot, which meant she probably was close to the man.
He wasn't even aware of Elle's fear or discomfort as he knelt down next to Eden's corpse, pulling the skull off before he started the process of once again going through the brain. And then there was the signature shudder when he found what he was looking for.
