She smiled knowingly at his tone, shuddering a bit at his proximity. She peeked back and winked with a smirk.
It was the place, and she didn't wait before taking a few steps in, sighing at the sleeping guard at the console. That explained a lot. What if anything had happened to her, for god's sake? She should kill him just for that. (Not that she couldn't take care of herself anyway.)
She killed him anyway--easily, efficiently, with a few thousand satisfying volts of electricity. He didn't even have the chance to scream, and when she stopped, he was burnt beyond recognition and smoking.
She looked up at the blinking monitors, smiling at their handiwork--Adam's unsurprisingly empty, bloody cell, Jesse's limp body, and Eden's severed head.
"We did good," she said, and then she destroyed it all.
