Elle gazed out the window, trying to avoid her contemplative reflection in the rear view mirror, her lips and brow worried with slight upset. She did hate him. She was furious. He killed her, and for what? For nothing.

The moment she had her strength back, she was just going to leave. She spent her whole life before that beach latching onto other people, expecting someone to give a shit. This was her second chance. Elle wasn't going to need anyone, not now.
