After their tryst inside of his shop, he did not show up at her club again. But he had ended up another club that evening and on the news the next morning was the report of missing blonde stripper, this one named Nikki Sanders. They reported to once again having no leads to the murderer. And as far as he was concerned, they would never have any leads. He was too careful to get caught.

But that was another issue for another time. For now he had changed out of his work clothes and into a pair of dark jeans and a black shirt. On his way he stopped by one of his favorite take out places and got them some Chinese food. He figured they might as well have some food to eat while they made fun of bad TV together.

It was...nice spending time with Elle, and not just because they ended up having sex so often (although that was nice as well). It had been so long since he had just enjoyed someone else's company. It was a nice indulgence even if he knew it could probably never go any farther than it already had. If she knew anything about what he was really like, it would all be over. And he really didn't want to have to kill her.

He made his way to Elle's apartment from his car and stopped outside the door. He brought his hand up and knocked, waiting for her answer.

He was allowed that. Welcome to it, even. Elle felt a smile spread across her lips as she rested into his side. She handed him his beer and curled up, her head falling to his shoulder as she took a sip and turned the television on. "How was your day?" she asked, her voice just a little bit softer. She could ask that now.

"It was alright. Nothing too interesting. Finished up a few watches I've been working on," He took a sip of his beer. He didn't mention that he had felt almost restless, waiting to see her all day. "And yours? Enjoying your day off?"

"This is my day off," she whispered, tilting her head up to kiss his jaw, just softly, just quickly. "I work nights."

"I forgot," He laughed softly, tilting his head down to kiss her gently.

She closed her eyes at the touch of his lips, parted her and kissed him lightly back. It was enough to send an unbidden shiver down her spine, and that warmth flared up again.

"I am enjoying it," she murmured to him pointedly.

"I'm glad," He murmured with a soft smile, holding her close. There was something about just spending time with her that made him feel...different. Special almost. It was hard to explain, but he was beginning to really like it. Crave it, even.

She didn't want to think about the change. Why... whatever good fuzzy feelings cropped up when she was with him. Recently, when she started to even think of him. So she didn't. She just nestled against him with a sigh and turned the channel to MTV.

He reted his head against hers as the show began to start. He raised a brow after a few minutes of watching. "Do they purposefully pick out people who represent stereotypes?"

"Uh huh," she laughed softly, staking a sip of her beer as one of the guys started complaining about not having enough privacy to fuck. "There's always at least one black person and someone who's gay."

He took a sip of his beer before rolling his eyes a little. "Wonderful. Because stereotypes aren't upheld enough in America."

"Blah, blah, blah," she said playfully, turning her head up to nuzzle into his warm neck, impulsively nip at his skin. "Now get ready for your shots, because Karina's about the bring a guy home."

"How do you know? Have you seen this episode before? That's not exactly fair." But even as he complained, he bent down and picked up the shot.

"It's a marathon, silly." She rolled her eyes, reaching for hers, too. "I've seen all of them but the season finale."

"It gives you an unfair advantage. You know what's coming next." He didn't really mind though. He just liked giving her a hard time.

Elle laughed a little and downed the shot, the alcohol burning all the way down to her tummy. She felt it instantly, the taste numbing her tongue as she filled up the next one to down, too. "There's no such thing as an unfair advantage in a drinking game," she teased back.

"There are always unfair advantages no matter what's you're playing," He knocked back the shot, the familiar burn sliding down his throat. He held out his shot glass for a refill. "Or even when you're not playing anything at all."

"Aren't you smart?" she smirked, filling his and quickly downing hers again. Just a little sloppily, she put down the bottle and shot glass to lean forward into him, her hand mussing his hair and her fingers scratching his scalp lightly. She felt her cheeks warm a little, and her stomach feel empty and twisting. She should eat some of that food, soon. But for now she was just going to tease him, and maybe ask him questions she wouldn't be so eager too without liquid courage. "So tell me. What unfair advantages do I have over you?"

"None," He replied evenly before taking his own second shot. It burnt and he felt a little light headed but not so much that he would start revealing things unintentionally yet. And certainly not pertaining any power she may or may not have over him.

She pouted a little, and she would be lying if she wasn't a little hurt at the easy answer. Not even a little? He was supposed to like her, right? Her fingers paused in their caress, and maybe she felt a little angry. He ran so hot and cold sometimes. "I think you're lying," she said, a little bit more seriously.

"You can think whatever you want," He shrugged his shoulders a little. He didn't know what she wanted him to say. It was too early to let her know the power she had over him anyways. Who was to say she wouldn't abuse it?

The anger flared up into her throat, and she pushed away from him a little viciously, shoving at his shoulder and sitting back on the couch, making sure not to touch him. "I will," she said, her voice a little hostile as she took a swig of her beer, unseeingly watching the screen. "And I think you're being kind of a jackass."

He frowned, looking personally offended as he pulled his arm away from her now. "I was just answering your question honestly. What did you want me to say?" He found himself taking a long swig of his beer. As if more alcohol would make things easier or something.

"I don't give a shit," she spat out, turning her head to glare at him. "You didn't have to be so cold." No unfair advantages, sure. He only watched her like a puppy for months and did everything she asked him to.

He did what she asked because he had already picked up a while ago that she had control issues. Sot it was a way to make her think she was in control when really she wasn't. That's how he saw it anyways. "Well, I wasn't trying to be."

She narrowed her eyes at him a little bit more, and then tore her gaze away, her lips still in an annoyed scowl. "Whatever," she said shortly, taking another sip. She didn't really believe him. Not one bit. And either way, he had said she had none, and that bothered her more than she was willing to admit.
