Unlike the other day, he had been given a little more freedom. They had switched him from the IVs to the pills, and no longer kept him strapped down on the bed, unable to move. He wondered if this was a good sign or not. It was hard to tell. But still, even getting up and moving about was a nice liberty to have back to himself. You never realize how much you enjoy doing something that simple until you're no longer able to do it.

His shirt had been replaced with a plain white t-shirt, and the doctors had given an injection of something that had healed up all the burn marks she had left on him. It was strange how they seemed determined to keep him in a healthy condition. It made him weary. Did they have some sort of plan for him? Why else would they be keeping such good care over a serial killer? It didn't make sense.

As he paced the tiny cell he was kept it his eyes occasionally flickered over to the glass. Would she come visit him again like she had implied? Not that it mattered.He was simply...curious, that's all. And if he was going to be stuck in this place, it was nice to have someone to talk to at times, even if it was her.

The only other people who came in were the doctors, and they were just doing their work. Nothing more, nothing less. Some company would be nice.

She slapped his chest with a scoff. "But that's what makes it fun!"

But maybe she'd show off a little anyway, just because--okay, it worked, she was flattered, even though he was probably just curious because powers were his thing. And, of course, he wanted hers.

She jumped down, generating electricity in her hands, when an idea popped into her head. A very bad naughty idea that would have her locked up for months if her dad found out. Slowly, she turned back towards him with a mischievous grin.

"What if I demonstrated on someone else?"

It was true. Part of his motivation was practical. After all, someday he would take her power for himself, and he might as well learn now just what it can do. He always liked getting demonstrations before taking a power, when he could.

A slow, almost sadistic smile spread across his lips as he heard her suggestion. Now that sounded like fun. The most fun she's suggested so far, in fact. He was suddenly quite glad he had thought to ask her for a show.

"I think demonstrating on someone else could work just fine."

She tried to contain herself, but a blossoming heartless smile lit up her face anyway, and she sucked in an excited breath. "I'll be right back," she said, and kissed his cheek because she was giddy he was making the experience enjoyable for her.

She tried not to run to the door, and locked it behind her, stopping for a moment to think. Who would be the best for this? Adam would last. And last. And last, which was perfect, but on the other hand, he'd probably be only too delighted to see the extent of Adam's power, and the extent of what she could do to him--not exactly information she wanted to part with if he ever took Adam's power and went after her.

There was always Jesse... He was her second favorite--just because she took extra pleasure out of his screams--since if he wasn't under medication, they could kill her, but nope, not when she was torturing him, no. Plus, he was one of those grabby and disgusting ones, and she hated the way he looked at her, like a piece of meat. Seeing Sylar's reaction would be nice.

She went to retrieve him, ignoring his leer and suggestive, "hey, slut," (well, she shocked him pretty bad for the endearment) and shackling his hands as he was incapacitated.

"We're going on a little field trip," she told him, and dragged him impatiently to Sylar's cell, pushing him inside with a sizable volt. He hit the floor with a thud, and she slammed and locked the door behind her.

Sylar waited patiently. Well maybe not patiently but as close to it as he was going to get. Nothing excited him quite the way powers did. And it was refreshing to see someone who enjoyed them like Elle did. Most of his victims had been ashamed of their powers, like they were curses and not something that made them special. So he took them from those fools because people like that didn't deserve such gifts.

When she brought in her chosen victim his eyes lit up like a child on Christmas. He couldn't wait to see exactly she was going to do to this man. One might even think that he was pratically getting off on just the anticipation alone.

He placed his hands behind him on the cold slab of a bed, leaning back a little. "Well?" He asked, raising a brow at her. "Let's see what you've got."

"What," Jesse hissed, weakly trying to get up, even though his cuffed hands made it difficult, "the fuck."

He blearily looked over to Sylar's laid back form, and then to Elle--she smiled with anticipation, electricity already cupped in her palm.

"Hello to you too," she quipped, turning slightly to Sylar. "Gabriel, this is Jesse. Jesse, you can call Gabriel Sylar."

Jesse managed to sit. "What the hell is--"

Elle faked a yawn--bor-ing--before letting out on her unfortunate victim, just enough to flay a little skin and definitely enough that his gurgled yells echoed off the walls.

She stopped, heard the sizzling of the metal cuffs on Jesse's wrist, and smiled. "You fucking bitch," he choked out after a few moments.

As much as it had hurt when she had attacked him, it was fascinating to watch her unleash it on someone else. His eyes were so focused that he barely blinked, as if he was in some sort of trance or something.

He doubted he had ever found someone as attractive as he did her right now. She was beautiful, powerful, dangerous...special.

When he finally spoke his voice was dark and almost hoarse. "More."

It wasn't quite as good as using his own powers or as satisfying as using hers would be once he took it from her, but for now, it would have to do.

She smirked at his reaction, and turned back to Jesse. "You hear that, Jesse? He wants more. Do you want more?" She stepped forward, charging up again, anticipating his response.

"Fuck you," he growled out, because he was never that imaginative with his insults.

"You wish," she said, and let him have it again, more of it--enough that her lungs filled with the smell of burnt flesh and his screams turned soundless. When she was done, he fell to his face, whimpering.

The smell of ozone and burnt flesh filled his nose as she sent another attack down on her victim. Not that Sylar really cared. The man seemed like an idiot, a mindless thug, the type of person the world would be better off without.

Sure, Sylar himself was a murderer, but he liked to think of himself as an enlightened one.

"He doesn't have much endurance, does he?" He asked with a smirk as his dark eyes glanced down at Jesse for a moment before looking back to Elle.

This little display was probably the best thing that had happened to him since he got thrown into this place.

"Nope," she answered, and knelt down besides Jesse's coughing, limp form, giggling a little as his lungs splattered blood onto the floor. "Pay attention," she ordered suddenly, her voice as sharp as nails. She shoved his shoulder, and he cried out, turning onto his back.

"You stupid fucking slut," he cursed out. "I'll fucking kill you when I get out of here," he promised weakly. "I'll blow your brains out."

"Aw," she laughed, "you think you'll get out of here." She slapped his bald head, hard.

She was hardly surprised when he shot out his tied hands and grabbed her throat--she'd knelt so close for a reason. "You're the first one I'm coming for." And with that, he raked his eyes over her body pointedly.

She smiled, and zapped his package, giggling as he cursed and let her go.

Sylar raised a curious brow at the man. Blow her brains out? Just what was his power? He made the mental note to go back for this one when he escaped. His power sounded like a good one. Then again, this place was pratically an all you can eat buffet. He couldn't wait.

When Jesse grabbed at Elle he found himself sitting up straighter suddenly, his hands fisted at his sides. He made a mental note to himself to make sure Jesse's death was a particularly painful one. Not that he cared about Elle but if anyone was going to hurt her, it was going to be him.

"He also doesn't know when to shut up," Elle told Gabriel, eyes bright. She followed the sentence by standing up, looking fondly down at Jesse as he cupped between his legs and rocked back and forth.

She zapped him again, just for a scream, and simpered with malicious delight.

"I can tell that," He replied, his voice mixed with amusement and something else, something darker. Jealousy, with a mix of lust and desire. His dark eyes remained fixated on Elle.

"I can see why you don't get as touchy feely with the other inmates, if they're all as vulgar as this one is," His voice held disdain, as if he thought he was better than Jesse. Which, of course, he did.

A normal girl, Elle decided, would probably be afraid of his intense stare and low words--but of course, Elle wasn't a normal girl, and she very much liked the predatory look he was giving her.

Very, very much.

It wasn't like Jesse's stare--his made her feel icky and angry. Sylar's stare felt... promising, and it seared right through her.

"I keep them in line," she assured him, confident of her ability to do so. "Jesse just thinks he's a big man." She kicked said man in the face (she was wearing heels, so ow) and then cooed down at him. "Don't you, baby? Can't take a girl beating you up?"

It was hard to for even him to be sure what he wanted more right now, her or her power. Either way though, she had caught his attention with this little display, that was to be certain.

The only thing that would have been better would be if he had his powers. Then he could have ended this whole wonderful moment by ripping open Jesse's head and taking whatever was in there. And maybe torturing the man a little himself before doing so.

There was a reason why people called Sylar a monster.

"He's nothing but a thug. Mindless. Whatever his power is, I'm sure it's wasted on him."

"Of course it is," Elle agreed with a knowing smile, absentmindedly shocking Jesse as he began to regain some semblance of physical sense. "He doesn't deserve it at all."

He didn't--she'd read the files. He used it mindlessly--for money and petty revenge. Not that Elle wasn't a fan of petty revenge, but he just did it so... unimaginatively. He had his rap sheet--plenty of robberies, murders, and rapes--but Elle hadn't been impressed, obviously.

She felt a surge of desire--a part of her suddenly wanted more than anything for Sylar to take his ability, to kill the bastard. But she knew she couldn't let that happen, if only for her own safety... for now.

"What is his power, anyways? So I know when I get the chance to take it from him," He asked, that deadly look still painted across his features. His eyes were almost glassed over. He couldn't help it.

He wondered idly, trying to remember when he had last taken his pills. If they were beginning to wear off, if it had been long enough of a time, maybe, just maybe he could finish off the job for her now.

"Sound manipulation," she answered, and slowly walked towards him, enamored at the hunger in his eyes and the desire nearly rolling off of him in waves. Her heels made clipped sounds and she stopped near his side, one hand tentatively reaching to touch his jaw. "You want it?" she asked breathlessly.

A shiver ran down his spine in anticipation as her hand brushed against his jaw. When he spoke, he sounded almost breathless. "Of course." Was the simple answer. Of course he wanted it. He had yet to find a power he didn't want, but that was beside the point. This one sounded particularly tempting.

She let out a shaky sigh and looked at Jesse's crumpled form, trying not to pout. She wanted to give him Jesse, but...

Resigned, she dropped her hand and walked over to the lump of human waste, nudging him with her foot. "Get up," she clipped, impatiently.

Elle hated it when she couldn't have what she wanted.

"Jesse," she whined, putting her hands on her waist. She tapped her shoe for a moment when his eyes only fluttered open for a moment, and then knelt down and shocked him just enough that they flew open.

She took hold of his arm and dragged him a foot or two (she was stronger than she looked) as he tried to struggle to his feet, hardly aware of his surroundings. "I have to take him back now," she told Sylar, grumpily.

As soon as those words came out of her mouth, Sylar stood up, suddenly alert and completely focused. He took a few long, quick strides across the cell until he was standing next to Elle. He grabbed her arm, holding onto it a little more tightly then he probably needed to. He glanced down at Jesse for a second before bringing his gaze back to Elle, his eyes practically pleading with her.

"Please. I'll let you go, but give me him"

Not that he didn't still want her power, because he did, but if he could at least get one of them out of this, he was willing to make a bargain.

She narrowed her eyes, ignoring the butterflies in her stomach at his rough touch (it was the first time he'd touched her), his pleading eyes, and the stark urgency in his tone.

"Do I look stupid to you?" she shot out at him, dropping Jesse. (His body made a loud thump and he groaned.) "You'll just escape right after and then I'll get in trouble." She raised an eyebrow. "And I thought you didn't beg for anything."

For a second, he debated telling her that if he escaped, she could come with him. But then he pushes the idea from his head, because he worked alone for a reason. Having her around would complicate things. And he didn't need complications in his life.

"Consider this the exception to the rule," He hissed, still keeping his grasp on her arm, tight enough to bruise her skin. "What if I promise not to escape, at least for now?" He supposed he could deal with being here for a few more days in exchange. The desire to take a power was so strong within him, normally he would have knocked her out or something and just gone ahead with what he wanted.

But for some reason, he didn't like the idea of hurting her more than he had to.

She rolled her eyes hard, moving her head with the motion and trying not to wince at his grip. It was hard and if it weren't for the fact that she welcomed it, she would have zapped him off already.

"Oh, if I had a nickel for every time a prisoner told me that," she announced sarcastically, and then raised her voice mockingly. "Don't give me my pills. Please, Elle, I won't try anything, I promise. Right. Uh huh."

She pursed her lips and looked challengingly up at him. He looked sincere. Elle knew how to look sincere too, and she always used it to her advantage, as well.

"Give me one good reason you won't break that promise."

He paused for a moment, the wheels in his head moving like a finely tuned clock. He knew that whatever he said next, it would make of break this whole thing. So he had to chose his words wisely.

He loosened his grip slightly, but his hand remained on her arm. He thought of trying to hit her emotional side and say something like "Because I like spending time with you," but that was too much, even for him. And finally, when he couldn't think of a good reason, he went to his last option.

He closed the gap between them before crushing his lips against her. It was harsh, full of tongue and teeth. He was pretty sure he had never kissed someone in such a way before, but it doesn't matter. After a moment or two he pulled away, a slight grin on his lips.

"Is that a good enough reason?"

She could practically seeing his mind working through the orbs of his eyes, but she never would have guessed his answer until it came. His lips covered hers, his mouth opened, and she froze for a few seconds, completely docile against his harsh kiss, her heart beating fast and loud and her senses exploding with the desire that had been simmering for him. And then oh--she remembered what she was supposed to do and grabbed at him, meeting his erratic hot kiss with her own.

She was beyond disappointed when he pulled away. She was ready to throw a fit. Maybe unleash on him a little for ending it so short.

But he'd asked her a question and it distracted her suitably.

She supposed, despite being too short, it was good enough (okay, really satisfying) in a general way. She tried to regain her breath, all the while trying to figure him out--could she trust him?

"Okay," she murmured, considering her options, "say I let you. How do you do it?"

She knew--opening the skull, blah blah blah, but she still didn't know how and now seemed a good time to ask.
