It had been a long and rather annoying process, getting his body back. Longer than he would have liked. More than anything, he just wanted to kill Matt Parkman, make him stay in his stupid head of his for so long. Sylar wasn't the type who liked confinement. In fact, he was exactly the opposite. He needed freedom. The ability to do what he wanted, take what he wanted. Parkman would pay for keeping him from it.

But there was something he needed to do first. Being with Parkman's wife had reminded him how much he missed Elle. He hated admitting to needing or wanting anyone, but if there was one thing he regretted, it was killing her.

He could fix that now. He had heard of this kid who could control life and death. Bennet had helped give him a new life. But that wasn't going to last long. Soon enough, Sylar found Jeremy and killed him (but not before noting how eeringly the kid looked like Luke. Weird). He dug around his brains and found what he was looking for. That delicious power.

Next stop was Costa Verde. He assumed Elle's corpse had to still be there. After all, where else would it have gone? He searched the newspapers until he read about a unidentified burnt corpse that was found the beach. He noted where she was buried and set off.

He was excited, he had to admit, to see her again. It didn't even cross his mind that she might be mad at him. After all, sure, he killed her, but he was bringing her back. That's what mattered, right? That's the way he saw it, anyways.

He found her grave and used his telekinesis to move the soil away, popping open the casket. He kneeled beside her, placing his hands on her burnt remains, focusing on restoring it to it's former glory. He found himself smirking as her body knit back together.

He was going to get her back, and then together they could kill Parkman. What could be better?

She sighed in disappointment, lifted her hand to his shoulder wearily as her eyes fluttered closed. "Can sunshine please use the bathroom?" she asked dryly, her lips moving against his jaw.

He laughed softly, releasing her however reluctantly. "Yes, you can." He wasn't worried. There weren't any windows in the bathroom.

That was a fact she had bemoaned during half of her shower, and now again, when she wriggled from his arms to pad into the room and shut the door. She looked balefully up at the itty bitty vent circulating air for a few moments, and then finally sat on the toilet, brushed her teeth, washed her face, and dragged herself back into the bedroom with the deepest sour puss on her face she could manage.

"You're a sucky kidnapper," she complained, jumping back on the bed and sitting back on her heels. "I'm really bored already."

He was already up and getting dressed, pulling his pants on and doing the buckle when she made her way back on the bathroom. "Well lucky for you, we're going out. I told you I would buy you clothes and take you out for breakfast today, didn't I?" He threw her a pair of shorts. "I think these might fit you better than the sweat pants." After all, she couldn't go out just wearing a shirt.

She groaned, picking up the fabric as if it was offending her. And really, it was. "I'll look awful," she complained, just because she could really, and she was in the worst mood in her entire life. Her first one and second one combined.

She got up and tugged the shorts on, whining like a child when no matter how many times she rolled the waistband up, she still had to hold the fabric up. "What am I supposed to put on my feet?" she asked, looking down at her bare toes. "I can't go into a store without shoes on. They'll kick us out."

"I could lend you a pair of sandals, I guess. We'll stop at the mall first thing. You can buy whatever you like," He replied with a shrug of his shoulders. It's not like money mattered, not when he had the Midas touch, and besides, anything to win points with her was good.

"Man sandals? You own man sandals?" she asked, aghast, not comforted--or at least not showing it--from his words in the least. There were tricks to getting around this lie detector thing, she was quickly learning. Just don't say anything about the important things! "Just kill me again before I die of embarrassment."

"It's man sandals, or no clothes for you," He put it very simple, smirking at her. "It's up to you. I don't really care. I rather like watching you just in a t-shirt."

She rolled her eyes, holding the dumb loose shorts tighter. "Just give me your ugly sandals, you pervert."

He just laughed, handing her his pair of sandals. "Please, like you wouldn't check me out if I was walking around shirtless."

Elle snatched them up and dropped them to the floor near her feet. "Been there, done that," she said snidely, cringing down at the sandals.

She slipped them on--they were about ten million sizes too big too, and even uglier than she thought. She hoped he knew she was going to burn them later. Man sandals aren't shoes. Didn't he know that?

"And you liked every moment of it," He reminded her with a knowing smirk. He dug around in his bag until he found what he was looking for. He knew he had a few safety pins. He made his way over to and started pinning the shorts together so she wouldn't have to hold them up anymore.

Her eyes simply rolled again, and she crossed her arms over her chest as he pinned the shorts up. It would be nice to have a bra, she thought aimlessly, trying not to concentrate on his proximity, or the brush of his fingers against her hips. She was just going to buy one whole outfit and shoes right away so she didn't have to walk around looking homeless longer than she needed to.

He leaned in, sniffing her scent as he worked carefully on her shorts. He lingered there for a moment or two, even though he was finished. It was nice, being so close to her. And it was kind of fun dressing her up in his clothes, even if they were way too big for her.

It took only a few seconds of his prolonged presence to start feeling a bit hot and annoyed, and she slipped by him towards the door. "Can we go now?" she whined.

He rolled his eyes at her impatient behavior and followed her out of the motel room, leading her to the car once more. Maybe she'd be in a better mood once she had some clothes and some food.

The ride to the mall was short, tense, and filled with his stupid old man music that only served to grate on her already sensitive nerves more. She was hungry. And wearing sandals. And being held against her will. She spent the entire car ride huffing with her arms across her chest and staring out the window.

It was hard to run into the mall, but Elle managed to flop at a brisk pace straight out of the car and into the Macy's entrance, just because she could put together an entire outfit there quick. She didn't even bother to see if Sylar was following her, and went into the lingerie department and picked out the first cute matching set she found (black with little blue polka dots).

Of course he was following her. Like he was just going to let her go on her own. He couldn't help but smirk a little as he noticed the pair she picked out. "I approve, those will look good on you."

"Not for you." She glanced back at him with a scowl, and started walking to woman's clothes after grabbing socks on the way, glaring at strange looks she was getting for her current wardrobe choices.

She was never going to forgive him for at least not buying her a pair of jeans. Would that have been so hard for him to think of? Testily, she grabbed a pair from the table.

"I'm sure I'll be taking them off of you soon enough," He said with a confident smirk. It was all a matter of time. She'd warm up to him eventually. He could wait.

In the meantime, it was kind of fun rattling her like this. And she would look nice in that underwear set she picked out.

"It's hilarious that you really believe that," she said dryly, grabbing some drapey tee thoughtlessly, and spinning around to raise a disbelieving eyebrow at him. Find fun, new ways to insult him without lying was a nice challenge.

Not that she really thought she was ever, ever, ever going to have sex with him ever again. But just to be on the safe side.

"It'll happen. It's all a matter of time, Elle," He replied with a smirk. He believed it too. She was the best lay he's ever had, he's not just going to give that up.

"And date rape drug," she snapped back sarcastically, pushing past him to grab a pair of heels.

She had some dignity, for goodness sake. She would ask what childhood trauma he'd suffered that made him believe forcing her to do anything would produce any of the results he was looking for... but then she took into the consideration that he was insane, and decided it was a waste of breath.

"I'm not going to rape you. I don't do things like that," He replied with a frown.

Okay, so having sex with Parkman's wife had probably been dangerously close to crossing that rape line, but he's not going to dwell on that for now.

"It's the only way you'll be getting any from me," she spat out, and she was so mad she actually believed it enough to let it pass her lips. "I wouldn't be surprised," she said hatefully, trying on the black pumps quickly, slipping one foot inside to make sure it was an okay fit. "You're forcing me to do just about everything else you want me to."
