Unlike the other day, he had been given a little more freedom. They had switched him from the IVs to the pills, and no longer kept him strapped down on the bed, unable to move. He wondered if this was a good sign or not. It was hard to tell. But still, even getting up and moving about was a nice liberty to have back to himself. You never realize how much you enjoy doing something that simple until you're no longer able to do it.

His shirt had been replaced with a plain white t-shirt, and the doctors had given an injection of something that had healed up all the burn marks she had left on him. It was strange how they seemed determined to keep him in a healthy condition. It made him weary. Did they have some sort of plan for him? Why else would they be keeping such good care over a serial killer? It didn't make sense.

As he paced the tiny cell he was kept it his eyes occasionally flickered over to the glass. Would she come visit him again like she had implied? Not that it mattered.He was simply...curious, that's all. And if he was going to be stuck in this place, it was nice to have someone to talk to at times, even if it was her.

The only other people who came in were the doctors, and they were just doing their work. Nothing more, nothing less. Some company would be nice.

Elle had taken an extra hour getting ready that morning--making sure that her hair was wavy and perfect and just so and that her outfit accentuated her form in ways that would drive any man a little crazy.

First, she visited Adam, just to try it out, but sometimes he could be such a bummer because he was ancient and nothing surprised him. He merely rose an eyebrow at her entrance, sighed in exasperation when she insisted on burning him to a crisp just the start off her morning on the right foot, and took his pills obediently when he came to.

And that was no fun. She dilly-dallied in Noah's office for a little while--he was out on assignment, apparently--and she snooped around his files to pass some time before visiting her new favorite toy. She didn't want to appear eager, now.

She was also a little nervous, for reasons she didn't care to think about, but still nagged the back of her mind relentlessly--like how she still cared whether he lived or died, and how it felt to be close to him again, and how he didn't hate her and he'd kissed her back.

Eventually she'd just given in and found herself at his cell--she knew he was on pills, of course, and they'd brought him new clothes, on her orders, but there was something equally jarring and exciting to see him free of those restraints.

She locked the door behind her and grinned. "Hey there."

He was jarred out of his thoughts as soon as he heard the door to the cell open. He paused in his steps before turning around to face her, a grin spreading across his lips. His dark eyes swept over her appearance. She seemed to be more dressed up than she was before.

"Do you always dress that way for the inmates, or did you do it especially for me?" He couldn't resist asking. He felt more at ease with her today. Maybe because his mobility put them on a slightly more even playing field this time around.

She put her hands on her hips and looked down at her carefully put together outfit--the skin tight black pants and the little corset over her white button down--and smirked, flouncing closer and doing a little turn. "Why? Do you like?"

His dark eyes trailed her body carefully, looking over the outfit as she did her little flounce and turn dance.

"It's nice enough," He finally replied in an indifferent shrug of his shoulders. In actuality, he had liked it more than he was pretending to.

She started forward and stopped close to him, and brushed some nonexistent lint off his shoulder. Grinning wide, she shocked him a little in greeting and then turned on her heel to take a seat on his bed.

She leaned back on her hands and crossed her ankles. "Your outfit could use a little work," she shot back.

He flinched a little as she shocked him before following him back over to the bed where he sat beside her. At the comment about his clothes he shrugged his shoulders.

"Not much I can do about it, I'm told to just put on what they give me."

"Mmm-hrm," she murmured, studying the side of his profile for a moment before touching where his hair met the nape of his neck, because she could, simply, and was curious how he'd react now that he could possibly resist her in any way.

He felt a small shiver run down his spine as her fingers brushed against the nape of his neck. He didn't say anything in response to the action but simply just took a step away from her.

She pouted and rolled her eyes, laying back on the slab and generating sparks between her palms. "Fine, don't be fun," she muttered, staring at the ceiling.

He smirked a little at that comment, shrugging his shoulders lightly. He remained sitting for the time being, glancing over at her. "Sorry, can't say I ever claimed to be fun. Well, not to other people anyways. I manage to find ways to have fun for myself easily enough."

"Like what?" She was tempting to roll her eyes again. "Play with brains? Fix watches? How thrilling."

Although she would like to see him take a power--just as long as it wasn't her--even though she'd been terrified when he'd attacked Trevor, she still had a morbid curiosity about it.

Now it was his turn to roll his eyes a little at her comment. "Though it can be rather fascinating to dissect a brain and find that special part where their power is hidden away, I was more thinking of things I could do with my powers. They do tend to make it a little harder to get bored easily."

He stretched his arms out before leaning back a little. "After all, they say idle hands are the devil's playthings..."

She couldn't help the laugh that escaped her, and once it was free, she couldn't help but follow it with a small giggle. "Ironic."

He chuckled softly as he nodded his head in agreement with her. "Yeah, I suppose it sort of is."

"So, tell me," she said, pushing herself up with a sudden thought, "how many powers do you have?"

She beamed at him, bringing folding her legs up to her chest.

He sat there for a moment before carefully replying. "Four, not including my own ability."

Telekinesis, Trevor's ability, freezing, and enhanced memories. He had been going after that cheerleader with the ability to regenerate when they had captured him and put him in this place. But it was a minor setback. He'd get that wonderful ability eventually.

"But not little Claire's," she teased, because that ability was the reason he'd been caught. Noah's little Claire-bear. She shifted onto her hands and knees and crawled forward, sweeping her legs over the side next to him and resting her chin on his shoulder.

He could move away he wanted, she was still going to touch him.

Her fingers found the nape of his neck again and she sighed.

"A minor setback. I'll get it eventually," He replied in a matter of fact sort of voice. After all, who in his position wouldn't go after someone with the power to regenerate? It was like gaining immortality, becoming godlike, in a way.

He tensed a little when he felt her chin rest against his shoulder, but made no move to move away. She'd probably just keep trying to touch him anyways.

And if he was honest, it wasn't entirely unpleasant.

"I have something for you," she said, shifting a little closer. She watched the muscles in his body tense at her proximity, and let her breath tickle his ear.

She shouldn't tell him, of course, but she wanted to--she wanted to stir something up, and this was as good as anything.

"Down the hall," she started, scratching the line of his pulse with one nail, "there's a prisoner named Adam." She paused for effect, and to lean in closer, her lips brushing the lobe of his ear. "If you ever escape, I think you'd want to take a detour there."

His eyes practically lit up in joy at her offer. If he was interpreting her right, this Adam has the same power as Claire. Which means he could have that delicious power so much sooner. He was almost giddy at the thought.

"I'll make sure to visit him first thing after I escape. Though I have to wonder, would your boss appreciate you giving me such information?"

"No," she breathed on a giggle, and pulled back, hugging his arm to her chest, "but Adam was grumpy this morning and didn't given tell me I looked nice. So I think it's okay if you torture him a little."

"I think what I do counts as more than just a little torture," He replied with a soft chuckle. He didn't even know if someone with that sort of regenerative power could survive his attack or not. It would interesting to find out, at the very least.

"But when I go to see him, I'll make sure to let him know that you were the one who sent me."

It was strange that she was helping him, and part of him had to wonder if it wasn't some sort of trap or something, but that power was too tempting not to at least investigate things.

"I guess we'll see," she replied in anticipation. "You don't live for hundreds of years without persevering."

She should stop telling him these things--these little tidbits of information that would probably get her in trouble later. But she'd already broken Daddy's silly rule (she was too close to him since the beginning, and time hadn't changed that) so might as well do it thoroughly.

"Tell him I told you it's because he doesn't love me enough," she chirped out, since that was the reason she used every time she killed him, and he'd appreciate the gesture.

Plus imagining Sylar telling Adam he didn't love her enough and then performing a lobotomy filled her with a simmering glee.

"Is he another one of your boy toys, then?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. He wasn't sure why, but he felt suddenly jealous of this Adam person, just a little. But why should he be? After all, she was free to do whatever, or whoever she wanted. It wasn't like he could stop her.

"I'll make sure to pass on the message."

She smiled and narrowed her eyes at him, fancying that he was jealous, and the tick of his raised brow was a good indication she was right. "We play sometimes," she said simply, watching his expression raptly--would he care if she'd play with the others like she played with him?

Because she did, sort of, with a little less touching--except for Adam, but not because she wanted to touch him--just because she knew he wasn't interested, and wouldn't get grabby like the others. She wanted to touch Gabriel--key difference.
