It had been a long and rather annoying process, getting his body back. Longer than he would have liked. More than anything, he just wanted to kill Matt Parkman, make him stay in his stupid head of his for so long. Sylar wasn't the type who liked confinement. In fact, he was exactly the opposite. He needed freedom. The ability to do what he wanted, take what he wanted. Parkman would pay for keeping him from it.

But there was something he needed to do first. Being with Parkman's wife had reminded him how much he missed Elle. He hated admitting to needing or wanting anyone, but if there was one thing he regretted, it was killing her.

He could fix that now. He had heard of this kid who could control life and death. Bennet had helped give him a new life. But that wasn't going to last long. Soon enough, Sylar found Jeremy and killed him (but not before noting how eeringly the kid looked like Luke. Weird). He dug around his brains and found what he was looking for. That delicious power.

Next stop was Costa Verde. He assumed Elle's corpse had to still be there. After all, where else would it have gone? He searched the newspapers until he read about a unidentified burnt corpse that was found the beach. He noted where she was buried and set off.

He was excited, he had to admit, to see her again. It didn't even cross his mind that she might be mad at him. After all, sure, he killed her, but he was bringing her back. That's what mattered, right? That's the way he saw it, anyways.

He found her grave and used his telekinesis to move the soil away, popping open the casket. He kneeled beside her, placing his hands on her burnt remains, focusing on restoring it to it's former glory. He found himself smirking as her body knit back together.

He was going to get her back, and then together they could kill Parkman. What could be better?

"If I was just horny, there are plenty of other women I could screw," He snapped in annoyance, pulling a little harder at her hair as he undid a particularly difficult tangle. "And where will you go? Do you really like I'll just let you leave?"

She let out a short cry, and reached back to shove him with a harsh glower, annoyed that she couldn't shock him, because she was soaked. "You're never touching me again," Elle hissed. "And I'm leaving whether you like it or not."

Maybe it was playing with fire, telling him she was going to leave, but she couldn't stop the spitting words. She wanted to hurt him.

He hissed in pain as he fell back down onto the tile, his head hitting the floor. "I'll touch you if I want to," He snarled, getting back up into a sitting position. As if to prove his point, he went back to working on the last of her tangles. "And if you leave, I'll just find you again."

"Ha!" she fake laughed with a sneer, smirking at his pain. "It's cute you think so. I guess your life is going to be frustrating from here on out," she quipped, letting him go back to her hair. He could fix it, because she'd asked him to, and then he could keep his dirty hands to himself.

"Believe me, Elle, if I want to find you, I will, and that's not a threat," He hissed, working out the last of her tangles. "That's a promise." He wanted her, it was true. And he always got what he wanted, in the long run.

She shivered at his dark words, and pushed herself up quickly whether he was finished or not. Her teeth were clenched together hard with a rush of indignation at his surety, and she pushed viciously past him into the bed room, grabbing a towel along the way and wrapping it under her arms.

It didn't matter if he was right, and he would always find her. She would just keep running, and Elle was pretty sure she was more persistent than he was. Easy as pie.

He fell against the floor once more, growling in annoyance. He was getting tired of these little temper tantrums of hers. He got up onto his feet once more, following her back into the bedroom.

If she insisted on running, she would learn soon enough just how persistent he could be. He didn't let go of things that belonged to him.

He just killed them and left them to rot, as Elle knew well enough. She spun around to face him, pointing her nose up at him snottily. "I need clothes," she whined.

He made his way over to his bag where he kept his clothes. He handed her a shirt and a pair of sweat pants. "These will probably be big on you, but it'll have to do until I can take you out shopping." In retrospect, he should have bought some clothes for her ahead of time, but oh well. She probably would hate whatever he picked out anyways.

She grabbed them, threw the wet towel carelessly, rudely into his face, and started to dress. They were big--the shirt practically ate her, and the sweatpants were so big she just left them on the floor before jumping on the bed and reaching for the remote, ignoring him completely.

The television clicked on with the sound of static, and she put on The Simpsons, laying on her tummy and resting her chin in her hands. "You're in the way," she said shortly.

He frowned in annoyance, his hands clenched at his side as he made his way to sit on the other side of the bed now. He wasn't going to lash out at her, no matter how much of a brat she acted like. That's just what she expected him to do, he was sure.

He rolled his eyes as she turned on the tv. He hated shows like The Simpsons. They were idiotic.

"I wasn't tired, I was dead," she scoffed, reaching back for a pillow to rest her chin on. She watched the moving cartoon, but couldn't will herself to laugh at anything funny happening on screen.

"Well, you said you wanted a shower and rest. Your words, not mine," He replied with a roll of his eyes. "And if you're going to watch something, you might as well watch something with substance."

She bristled, turning hateful eyes over to him. "I said I wanted a shower, and food, and clothes. Shows how much you listen." Elle turned back to the television set, her lips pressing together angrily. "And if you don't like The Simpsons, there's the door."

"No place is open to buy you clothes right now, but we can go get you food if you want," He rolled his eyes once more. "And I'm not about to leave you, I think you would have figured that out by now."

"As if I can go out just wearing a t-shirt," she snapped at him--she wouldn't, and she wasn't going to. Frustration rose up in her throat, and suddenly pretending to watch TV was just exhausting. She turned off the television and dropped the remote on the floor, twisting up to wriggle under the covers. "I changed my mind. I'm tired," she lied. "Stop talking to me."

"Fine, I'll go out and buy you something as soon as a store opens, and then we'll go out to breakfast, he argued, getting underneath the covers as well. If she thought he was going to sleep on the floor or something ridiculous like that, she had another thing coming.

The bed squeaked and moved as he laid down, and Elle felt so much anger fill her she started to shake. Her body twisted around onto her back, and she turned her head towards him. "You're not sleeping here with me," she ordered, disgusted.

"Yes, I am." He said in a simple matter of fact tone. "Whether you like it or not." If he had to use his telekinesis to keep her from trying to move, he'd do it. Either way, she was sharing the bed with him, so she might as well just get used to it.

She stared at his dark, resilient eyes, huffing with heavy breath before defiantly kicking the covers off. This was not going to happen. She was not going to share a bed with him. She got up, walking straight towards the door, clothes be damned. She'd rob a store if she had to.

"It's been lovely," she called back sarcastically. "Bye!"

He held his hand up, locking the door easily with his telekinesis. He locked all the windows as well.

"Did you really think I would let you just leave? That it was going to be that easy, Elle?"

Her hands closed around the doorknob anyway, and she jiggled it, pulled it, tried to unlock it before turning on him with electricity crackling in her palm. Her heart pounded in her chest, and she glared at him with just a taint of fear--suddenly the shadowy walls of the room started to feel more like a cage. "Let me out," she growled.

"I told you, I'm not going to let you go easily. And if you insist on trying to escape, then I have to use force. You pushed me to this, Elle. You left me with no choice."

He wasn't going to let her go so easily. He'd force her to stay, force her to love him again. He didn't want to be alone anymore.

Her face slowly fell at his words, and she swallowed thickly, staring deep into his eyes. She was a little afraid now. Just a little. Which was why she threw a volt of electricity through the window to break the glass, and it shattered, jagged pieces falling to concrete outside. And that was why she ran, trying to scramble out of the room through the broken glass, however futile the move might be.

Well, that. And just to be difficult.

He held up his hand, freezing her in her place before she could get out of the window. He made his way over to her, wrapping his arms around her from behind. He leaned in to whisper in her ear.

"Elle, why are you trying to make things more difficult then they need to be? You're only making things harder for yourself this way."
